Centrelink advice and assistance
Our Centrelink assistance is in depth and our knowledge helps to explain typical Centrelink questions such as: What payments are you entitled to? What are the Assets Test and Income Test and how do they work? What do Centrelink assess and not assess as income and assets? Are you receiving your maximum entitlement? Are there any extra entitlements you could be eligible for?
Even if you are planning to be a self-funded retiree, or intending to work part-time, a part-pension and a Pensioner Concession Card may well still be an option for you.
Importantly also we have the ability to be online contacts for our clients with Centrelink. This enables us to receive copies of important correspondence that may be sent to you from Centrelink as well as being able to make changes to your Centrelink details online via our office. This is a most important and beneficial feature that we offer our Centrelink clients. Also any applications for Pensions and other benefits are prepared by us (with all supporting documentation) for our clients.
Even if you are planning to be a self-funded retiree, or intending to work part-time, a part-pension and a Pensioner Concession Card may well still be an option for you. The Pension Concession Card is a valuable item as it provides you with the reduced cost of medicines under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, as well as discounts in property and water rates, energy bills, public transport and motor vehicle registration.
To be eligible for the Age Pension, you must have reached a certain age, which now depends on your birth date. If you satisfy the age criteria, your current level of assets and income are then assessed to determine your eligibility. You are also assessed based on whether you are single or a couple, and if you own your own home and there are also residency requirements. We assess the details and then explain your eligibility and potential entitlements in clear to understand language.
